Anti-Environmentalist has own show on Discovery

Interesting contrasts of Palin's views and Discovery's programming.

In her next move, Sarah Palin is teaming up with The Discovery Company's TLC for a new series, "Sarah Palin's Alaska," which will take a documentary tour of her home state. We find it ironic that the notorious anti-environmentalist will be given a platform by one TV's biggest nature-driven companies, which owns networks such as Discovery, Animal Planet and Planet Green. In that vein, we're taking a look at some of Palin's biggest anti-environmental stances and contrasting them with the decidedly environmentally-friendly programming put on by The Discovery Company. Take a look, and let us know which pairing you find most ridiculous.

WikiLeaks cables reveal Arab nations pushed for Iran strike, China hacked Google, and more secrets

WikiLeaks, a whistle-blower website, has released hundreds of thousands of classified documents via several news outlets.

Washington's biggest state secrets - from Arab leaders privately begging for air strikes on Iran to American diplomats spying on UN officials - were laid bare Sunday in a massive online document dump.

The WikiLeaks publication of 250,000 diplomatic cables stripped the veil from long-classified projects, exposed back-channel communications and revealed unflattering comments about foes and friends alike.

Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini called it "the 9/11 of world diplomacy."

An angry White House said people trying to help the U.S. abroad may die because of the leak. Secretary of State Clinton was calling allies in full damage-control mode.

Rep. Pete King (R-L.I.) urged U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder to designate WikiLeaks a "foreign terrorist organization," saying it "posed a clear and present danger to the national security of the United States," and to prosecute founder Julian Assange for espionage.

WikiLeaks says it plans to release more documents "in stages over the next few months."

Maryland politician allegedly caught flushing money down the toilet says he'll be cleared of charges

Jack Johnson is accused of accepting tens of thousands in kickbacks from developers.

Despite being caught on the wiretap, Jack Johnson told reporters he was innocent of all charges - including tampering with evidence.

With the authorities at her door, Johnson's wife, Leslie, reportedly frantically phoned her husband and explained that "two women are at the door."

Johnson told his wife not to let the women in and instructed her to go upstairs in their bedroom and get a check from his drawer - a check FBI agents said was for $100,000.

"They're saying they're FBI Jack, do you want me to put it down the toilet?" Leslie Johnson asked her husband as FBI agents listened in on the wiretapped phone.

"Yes, flush that," he allegedly replied.

Leslie Johnson then allegedly put $79,600 in cash in her bra, according to the FBI.
